March Product Updates: Communication Hub, Bulk Enrollment, and More

March's updates tackle the things that eat up your time: reaching parents through the right channel, moving groups of children between programs, and keeping your records organized as kids come and go.

Communication Hub with SMS

Announcements, conversations, and SMS now live under a single Communication tab. No more jumping between three separate sidebar links to reach parents.

The headline addition is SMS on announcements. When you publish an announcement, toggle on SMS delivery and parents receive a text alert alongside the email. This is especially valuable for time-sensitive messages like weather closures and last-minute schedule changes.

You can also send a Quick SMS directly from any parent's profile or from within a conversation. Every text message is tracked in the new SMS Log with delivery status and recipient details.

Conversations got better too. Parents can now start conversations with staff, not just reply to existing threads. Both sides can archive old conversations to keep the list manageable. And email notifications now include the full message body, so parents can read messages right from their inbox.

Enrollment Bulk Operations

Select multiple children and move, withdraw, or enroll them in one step.

Move to Room makes daily ratio management a two-tap operation. Switch Programs handles promotions from one program to another. When year-end comes around, Bulk Withdraw clears the graduating class while Bulk Enroll places the incoming cohort, all in seconds.

Every operation includes safety checks: no duplicate enrollments, classroom-program validation, and a full audit trail.

Child Profile Archiving

When a child graduates or leaves your center, you can now archive their profile. Your subscription slot is freed up while every attendance record, activity log, and milestone stays intact and accessible. Parents keep access to their child's history through a dedicated Past Profiles section.

This also helps with compliance. Most licensing bodies require centers to retain records for several years after a child leaves, and archiving makes that effortless. Your active roster stays clean, historical records stay complete, and you can unarchive any profile in seconds if a child returns.

New Features

Daily Reports

Staff and parents now get a complete view of each child's day. Activities, meals, sleep, bathroom visits, and mood are organized into clear sections with counts and the child's photo. Parents see the report in their portal; staff see it in the activity feed.

Attendance Reports and Analytics

A new dashboard gives you summary stats, trend charts, and a frequently-absent list. The report table includes health screening status, parent attribution, and child detail views. Export to Excel, CSV, or PDF with one click.

Historical Attendance Editing

Navigate to any past day using the new date picker and correct attendance records. Every change requires a documented reason, and the full audit trail is preserved. A clear indicator shows when you're viewing historical data versus today's records.

Incident Reports

Admins and teachers can now create incident reports directly in the app, documenting what happened, who was involved, and what action was taken. Parents see approved incidents in their portal under a dedicated Incidents section.

Camera Capture for Activities

A new camera button in the activity form lets teachers snap photos on the spot. No app switching, no gallery hunting. One tap and the photo is attached to the entry.

Notification Preferences

Centers can now control exactly which notifications are sent, with master switches for each category and role-aware visibility. Disabled notifications show an inline explanation so staff understand why a toggle is unavailable.

Documentation Site

A searchable documentation site is now live with step-by-step guides for center administrators, teachers, and parents. Contextual links on every page in the app connect you directly to the relevant guide.
