Spring is finally here, and there's a fair bit that's new in KidzLog. April's release was about cutting prep time and clean-up work: a full menu planning system, bulk archiving for year-end, expanded currency support, and a refreshed enrollment report.
Menu Planning, Meal Logging, and Allergy Alerts
Plan once, log everywhere. Build a weekly menu in the new menu builder, and it powers the rest of the app. Parents see what's on the menu from their dashboard, teachers log meals in a single tap during meal time, and the system automatically flags any allergy conflicts based on each child's profile before food reaches a plate.
The release also includes a food library with searchable icons, a printable menu view for pick-up, and a daily allergen summary on each parent's dashboard so families know exactly what to expect. Read the full menu management announcement for screenshots and setup tips.
Archive a Whole Class at Once
Year-end roster cleanup is now a multi-select operation. Open the children list, tick the kids who graduated, and archive them in one click. Subscription slots free up while every attendance record, activity log, and milestone stays intact and accessible. Restore the same way if a child returns. See the bulk archive walkthrough for the full breakdown.
New Features
Enrollment Report Filters and History
The enrollment report gained filters by program, status, and date range, a History tab that shows enrollment changes over time, and exports for every sub-report — CSV, Excel, or PDF. Useful for board meetings, audits, or quick weekly tracking. Details in the enrollment report post.
Show Fees in Your Local Currency
Centers outside North America can now display program fees in GBP, EUR, AUD, NZD, and many more. Existing CAD and USD centers see no change. Full list in the currency announcement.
Review Invitations Before You Join
When a center invites a parent or staff member, the recipient now reviews and accepts the invitation themselves instead of being auto-added. There's a new Pending Invites screen so users can see and decide on each one. More on this in the invitation consent post.
Multi-Center Switching
If you work across more than one center, which is common for owners with multiple locations and for substitute teachers, you can now switch between them in seconds from the user menu, without signing out. KidzLog also remembers which center you were last in across devices.
Improvements
- Attendance report visual refresh. A cleaner layout, better filters, and an export dropdown that no longer hides behind other panels.
- Stability across the board. Messaging is more reliable, settings changes apply immediately, log files no longer include sensitive personal information, and email handling is consistent everywhere. Smaller bugs around Quick Start error messages, unread conversation polling, and the menu builder calendar are fixed too.
What's Next
We're working on more reporting upgrades, deeper parent engagement features, and continuing to polish day-to-day flows. As always, your feedback shapes what we build next — keep it coming.
