Product Update: Health Screening, Incident Reports, and Easier Parent Management

We've been hard at work improving KidzLog based on your feedback. This update covers several months of new features and improvements - here's everything that's new.

Health Screening at Check-In

One of our most requested features is here. You can now add health screening questions that parents answer when checking in their children.

How it works:

• Set up your screening questions in Settings → Attendance → Health Screening
• Parents see the questions during check-in (app or kiosk)
• Responses are saved with the attendance record
• View screening results anytime from the child's attendance history

Need to screen multiple children quickly? Use bulk health screening to process an entire classroom at once - perfect for busy morning drop-offs.

Incident Reporting

Documenting incidents just got easier. Instead of paper forms or separate systems, you can now log incidents directly in KidzLog.

What's included:

• Detailed incident report form with customizable fields
• Admin review and approval workflow
• Parent signature tracking
• Complete audit trail with timestamps

When an incident is logged, admins receive a notification to review. Once approved, parents can view and sign off on the report - all within KidzLog.

Easier Parent Management

We've added a dedicated parent detail page that brings everything together in one place.

From the parent page, you can:

• View and edit contact information
• See all linked children at a glance
• Link additional children with a searchable dropdown
• Manage kiosk PINs (generate, reset, or remove)

PIN-only parents: For families who only need kiosk access for drop-off and pick-up, you can now create parents without requiring an email invitation. They'll get a PIN for the kiosk without needing a full account.

Bulk Attendance Actions

Managing attendance for large groups is now faster:

• Bulk check-in/check-out - Select multiple children and check them in or out at once
• Bulk mark absent - Quickly mark multiple children absent for the day
• Kiosk mode - Parents can use a PIN to check in/out at a dedicated kiosk station

Fee Management

Set up and manage fees directly in KidzLog:

• Create fees with custom names and amounts
• Choose billing frequency: weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, or custom
• Edit or remove fees as needed

Multi-Currency Support

For centers that bill in different currencies, you can now set your preferred currency in billing settings. Fees and invoices will display in your chosen currency.

Quality of Life Improvements

We've also made dozens of smaller improvements:

• Searchable dropdowns - Country, timezone, and phone code selectors now have search built in
• Faster attendance lists - Pagination keeps large lists loading quickly
• Better empty states - Clearer messaging when lists are empty
• More relationship types - Additional options for emergency contacts
• Improved error messages - Clearer feedback when something goes wrong
